It's a lot of pressure, you know

A family dinner once in a while is recommended to maintain a good relation between all family members. That is something my family do once in every two or three months. All my brothers, my sisters, my in laws, and my cousins are there just to make it even more exciting and cheerful. While my mom and my aunts prepare the salads and the side dishes, my dad and my uncles are just busy grilling some meat and chicken and some lovely prawn in order to complete this backyard family feast. It just nice to be there with your love ones and share the glorious food with each other. It seems perfect for me.

But not until I've been asked the one question that I'm not always prepared to answer.

'When you're gonna marry and have kids, James ?' And this time the question has been asked by my uncle.

I totally hate that kind of question and I know I'm the one who always single, not like everyone else at the table. And I always remains just the same for years.

I'm just speechless and my face started to look grinned.

'I don't know. Still couldn't find the right person.' I answered plainly just to take everyone's attention from myself.

'Really ? Well, let me give you a tip.'

I hate those foolish tips. I feel like I was being treated like a teenager. And those tips actually didn't work out at all. That's why I hate it so much. Grrr....
 .

'It's okay. I don't need a tip. If it's there is someone who is meant to be for me, then you all shouldn't be worried at all.' Somehow, this time my emotion seems buoyed to the surface.

Almost everyone seems startled with my words. For a minute or so, there had been an awkward silenc

'Owh gosh ! We ran out of ketchup. I gotta go inside for a while to take some.' I walk away from the group and in to the house. I really do need a time to chill for a moment and just sat alone on the couch.

***********************************************************************************

'Hey. Don't take it seriously. You're my boy. I know you're gonna be just fine', my dad came in and just sat next to me. Maybe he did notice me just walking out from the group in an awkward situation.

'Don't think about it too much. For now, just laugh as much as you breathe and love as long as you live. Okay ?'

'Aye. Thanks dad.' Somehow, I started to smile again. Yes, only my dad knows best. But still, the pressure doesn't end just like that, not even until now.

Ps: Happy father's day to all fathers out there. This one's for you dad.

kata orang jodoh tu kita kena cari, kata orang jodoh tu akan datang sendiri tapi saya kata Allahswt yang lebih tahu apa yg terbaik utk setiap hambanya termasuklah bab jodoh. So, just stay cool and up date blog. Tak yah nak trauma fikir bab jodoh ni.

ahhhhhhhh I find it really annoying too. But I would usually just answer them sarcastically like "I'll let you be the first one to know when the time has come" then they will surely wont ask me that question again lol.

Dont let it bring u down. Just laugh at it seriously. Ur time will come one day so just chill now while u can! haha :)

I was in yours shoes too. My grandpa has 17 children and 58 grandchildren! I was a bachelor for a long time and became immune & smarter in answering them all. I always felt they were so kay-poh!
